Common push bar problems we fix in Cypress

• The latch will not retract. Often a broken spring, worn center case, or a clogged device. We repair or replace the worn internals, clean the mechanism, and test.

Types of exit devices we install and repair

Exit hardware is not one size fits all. We stock and service the main categories so we can match what your door needs.

• Rim exit devices. Most common, mounts on the face of the door with a latch that hits a rim strike. Great for single doors and pairs with a mullion.
• Mortise exit devices. Latch is inside a mortise lock body in the door edge, used in higher traffic or higher security doors.
• Surface vertical rod devices. Top and bottom rods latch into strikes at the head and floor. Used on pairs without a mullion and some tall doors.
• Concealed vertical rod devices. Rods run inside the door for a cleaner look. Often found on new aluminum and glass doors.
• Narrow stile devices. Slim devices for aluminum storefront doors with narrow frames.
• Fire exit hardware. Built and labeled for rated doors. No dogging here, and closers must be set to close and latch every time.
